Awarded by the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy, UK, (APAC), the Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy (PGDDPT) allows students to further explore ways of integrating the child as the centre of a social system, which includes schools, families and a team of support. The main items in the ‘Play Therapy Tool-Kit’ are revisited at a greater level of competence, put into practice with more difficult problems and used as assessment methods. The programme also includes a 100-hour of practicum which leads to an International Certification as a Therapist.

She has successfully introduced Creative Play therapy into many schools in East Sussex where it has become an additional learning support tool to the SEN and Inclusion departments. Her success in mainstream schools led to me becoming Play Therapist in Residence for the Federation of EBD schools in East Sussex. Over the years she has developed Creative Support(see additional information).
Her experience working with Looked After Children, Young Offenders, 'At Risk' girls and other young people on the margins of society has enabled me to provide a creative intervention for teenagers which offers them an opportunity to regress and revisit early developmental milestones and come to terms with their life experiences.
